NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on September 29, 2014 to
consider the award of a contract, in the amount .of $68,759.00 to Amigos Together For
Kids, Inc., $43,776.00 to Arts for Learning/ Miami, Inc., and $51,693.00 to Miami Dade
Family Learning Partnership Florida not -for -profit corporations, for the 2014-2015
contract period, for the provision of art teacher management, literacy based curriculum,
teacher supervision, technology instruction, parent workshops, field trips and other like
activities in conjunction with educational and parks services to be provided at five of the
City's parks, Athalie Range, Jose Marti, Roberto Clemente, Shenandoah, and West End
Parks in conjunction with a grant from the Children's Trust called the Out -of -School
"Heart of Our Parks" grant and to consider the City Manager's recommendation and
finding that competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous
regarding these issues. Inquiries regarding this notice may be addressed to LaCleveia

This action is being considered pursuant to Section 18-86(A)(3)(c) services related to
educational services and activities provided by non-profit organizations within city parks
of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended. The recommendation and finding
to be considered in this matter are set forth in the proposed resolution and in this Code
Section, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference herein and are available as
public records from the City of Miami. The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction with
the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of September 29, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at
Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida.
All interested individuals are invited to attend this hearing and may comment on the
proposed issue. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City
Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and
evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
