A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE
IN THE CONTRACT AWARDED TO BLUE WATER MARINE SERVICES, INC.,
UNDER THE CITY MANAGER'S $50,000.00 THRESHOLD, FOR THE PROVISION
OF MOORING BIANNUAL UNDERWATER VISUAL INSPECTION AND REPORTING
OR REPAIR SERVICES, PURSUANT TO THE INVITATION FOR BID NO. 274336,
FOR AN ADDITIONAL $30,000.00, ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS; ALLOCATING
FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS FROM THE USER
DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS
AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED.
WHEREAS, on October 26, 2011, the City Manager approved the award of the Invitation for Bid
("IFB") No. 274336 to Blue Water Marine Services, Inc. for Mooring Biannual Underwater Visual
Inspection and Reporting or Repair Services for a total amount not to exceed $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the end -user department has a continuous need for these services and is requesting
that the contract amount be increased for an additional $30,000.00; and
WHEREAS, this contract has exceeded the City Manager's $50,000.00 threshold and the end -user
department is respectfully requesting the approval of the City Commission for the additional
$30,000.00 increase; and
WHEREAS, these services are necessary to avoid any potential life, hazardous, or safety issues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA;
Section 1. An increase in the contract awarded to Blue Water Marine Services, Inc., under the City
Manager's $50,000.00 threshold, for the provision of Mooring Biannual Underwater Visual Inspection
and Reporting or Repair Services, pursuant to the IFB Bid No. 274336, for an additional $30,000.00,
on an as -needed basis, is authorized, with funds allocated from the various sources of funds from the
user departments and agencies, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time
of need.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
