A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
FIRE FIGHTERS' AND POLICE OFFICERS' RETIREMENT TRUST FUND FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2014 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,
2015, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,222,561.00,
WITH THE AMOUNT AMORTIZED IN ACTUARIAL NORMAL COST AS STATED IN
ACTUARIAL REPORT DATED JUNE 12, 2014.
WHEREAS, Section 40-193 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, authorizes
the Board of Trustees ("Trustees") to administer the City of Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers'
Retirement Trust Fund ("FIPO Retirement Trust Fund"); and
WHEREAS, an annual budget is required to properly administer the FIPO Retirement Trust
Fund; and
WHEREAS, the operating budget of the FIPO Retirement Trust Fund for Fiscal Year
2014-2015, has been reviewed on June 11, 2014 by the Trustees of the FIPO Retirement Trust Fund
and found to be acceptable and amortized in actuarial normal cost as stated in actuarial report dated
June 12, 2014;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The annual budget of the FIPO Retirement Trust Fund for the Fiscal Year
commencing October 1, 2014 and ending September 30, 2015, attached and incorporated, in the
amount of $2,222,561.00, with the amount amortized in the actuarial normal cost as stated in the
actuarial report dated June 12, 2014.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
day from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
