It is respectfully recommended that the City of Miami Commission adopt a resolution to accept an
assignment of Bid Contract 274253 for Emergency Debris Removal and Disposal Services from Byrd
Brothers Emergency Services, LLC, to Ceres Environmental Services, Inc.
Background Information:
On August 12, 2011, the City of Miami issued Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 274253) for the provision
of Emergency Debris Removal and Disposal Services. Pursuant to Resolution No. 11-0509 adopted
on December 15, 2011, Byrd Brothers Emergency Services, LLC was one of three vendors to be
awarded the contract. On May 2V014, Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., purchased Byrd Brothers
Emergency Services, LLC. Recently Byrd Brothers Emergency Services, LLC provided written
notice for assignment of their rights under the bid contract to Byrd Brothers Emergency Services,
LLC with the same terms and conditions, specifications and scope of work.
