The re -platting of the land and closure of a portion of NW 15 Avenue is a requirement of the River Landing Special Area Plan approved by the Miami City Commission. The development of the River Landing project provides significant public access along the entire frontage of the Miami River and several public access corridors between NW North River Drive and the riverfront. Signage will be posted to identify public access to the riverfront. 2. NW 15 Avenue is currently open and improved and is utilized by the general public, emergency and service vehicles. 3. The Special area Plan requires service and emergency access lanes to properly serve the development and the riverfront. 4. NW 15 Avenue currently "dead ends" at the Miami River and is not a part of a continuous neighborhood circulation route. Public access and circulation will be improved with the development of the River Landing by providing several public access points from NW North River Drive that is interconnected and continuous along the adjacent riverfront. 5.
