This letter shall serve as the applicant's letter of intent in support of the application. The request for vacation applies to an approximately seventy foot (70') street called Crotan Road, also known as NW 15th Avenue. The right-of-way is located within the property that is the subject of a Special Area Plan approval for the project known as River Landing, which was approved by the PZAB and the City Commission on January 18, 2013. Essentially, the right-of-way vacation is required in order to develop the River Landing Project as proposed by the SAP. In fact, the enclosed resolution anticipates and describes the necessity of the right-of-way vacation. The existing road presently bisects the property and is not required in order to provide access to the site, or adjacent properties.
