Law Department Matter ID No. Purpose of Item: An Ordinance amending Chapters 54 & 55 of the City Code to update references to and compliance with City of Miami and State of Florida rules and regulations, to delete obsolete regulations and correct printing errors. Background Information: A primary function of the Public Works Department is the administration of Chapter 54, Streets and Sidewalks, and Chapter 55, Subdivision Regulations, of the City Code. The regulations contained in these chapters of the Code must be compatible with related City Code and Zoning Code regulations and conform to State Law. The City of Miami zoning regulations and Code have been substantially amended to include the Miami 21 Code and land use regulations. The Florida Statutes have been amended to include the Florida Building Code and Telecommunication regulations. It is necessary to update the references to and compliance with the current City of Miami and State of Florida rules and regulations, to delete obsolete regulations and to correct printers errors contained in Chapters 54 and 55 of the City Code.
