properties. The proposed legislation will bring additional safety parameters and protections in
connection with game courts, which the code already permits. We understand that allowing
additional height for fences and walls for game courts will increase options for outdoor recreation,
which our City needs.
More importantly, the required perimeter landscape buffers and architectural treatments
stipulated in the ordinance offer effective visual and ambient protection for adjacent properties.
These features will mitigate potential noise and visual impacts, ensuring that homeowners who
choose to install game courts do so in a manner that respects and preserves the privacy and
tranquility of their neighbors.
