• PROBLEM - State of Florida owns the land need for traffic improvement and
was not a willing seller
• PROBLEM - City did not have funds to acquire property or construct the
improvement
• SOLUTION - Through Swire's efforts, the State became a willing seller
• SOLUTION - Swire has arranged to provide all funds necessary for the
acquisition of the land from the State
- $4.165 M donation to the City of Miami
- $771,544 in easement fees to the City of Miami
- $4.93 million - total funds contributed by Swire

• Governor and Cabinet are scheduled to consider
sale of the property at the Trustees meeting in June
- City approval today and State approval in June is
necessary - targeted completion before project opening
- Minimize disruption to neighborhood
• Design has not commenced - extent of land
required to accommodate project has not been
determined
- Stormwater attenuation, stormwater wells, pumps,
foundations for mast arms, foundation for signage, retaining
wall adjustments, lane expansion, bike lanes required by
County
