A/K/A AON HEWITT CONSULTING ("AON" or "CONSULTANT") AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH AON CONSULTING, INC., FOR THE PROVISION OF HEALTH BENEFITS CONSULTING SERVICES AND ACTUARIAL SERVICES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF RISK MANAGEMENT, FOR A CONTRACT PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR ONE (1) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD, AT A FIRST YEAR CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $150,000, WITH A COST INCREASE CAP NOT TO EXCEED 3% FOR THE SECOND YEAR; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS THE USER DEPARTMENT SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. Background Information: Through a RFQ process the City sought pricing proposals from qualified firms and Aon Consulting Inc., a/k/a Aon Hewitt Consulting, (Aon) was selected as the provider. On June 9th, 2011, Resolution No. 11-0239 was adopted approving execution of a professional services agreement (PSA) with Aon for an initial term of one (1) year with one (1) additional one (1) year option to renew period. The subsequent Aon PSA sole additional one (1) year option to renew period concluded June 8th, 2013. Since expiration of the Aon PSA, Aon has continued providing and the City has continued receiving Aon's services. Currently, Aon is assisting with current, pending projects as the audit of the current Health Care Provider, CIGNA, the Utilization Review, Health Care Reform and Compliance Review, Wellness Strategy and Benefit strategy development.
