Purpose of Item:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $50,000 TO SUPPORT EMERGE AMERICAS TECH WEEK FROM EACH COMMISSION
RESERVE ACCOUNT ($35,000 TOTAL), FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDING TO SPONSOR
AN EXHIBIT FOR THE CITY ($5,000), AND FROM THE CITY MANAGER'S RESERVE ACCOUNT ($10,000).
Background Information:
At the March 27, 2014 City Commission meeting, the Commission directed the Manager to return at
the following meeting with a resolution allocating funding and stating support for the Emerge
Americas Tech Week scheduled for May 2-6, 2014.
