Subject: Resolution accepting funds and authorizing the execution of a Joint Participation Agreement
with Miami -Dade County for the Coconut Grove Sidewalk improvements Project, B-30687.
Purpose of Item:
To accept funds and authorize the City Manager to enter into a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with Miami -Dade
County (County) for the Coconut Grove Sidewalk improvements Project, B-30687. This agreement provides that the
County will contribute $1,529,000 for construction of the project.
Background Information:
The City and the County wish to facilitate the construction of a sidewalk improvement project located within Miami-
Dade County. The Coconut Grove Sidewalk Improvements Project (Project) scope includes the installation of enhanced
brick sidewalk along; 1) Grand Avenue from McDonald Street to Mary Street, 2) Main Highway from McFarlane Road
to Franklin Avenue, and 3) McFarlane Road from South Bayshore Drive to Grand Avenue. The County wishes to utilize
the resources of the City to contract and construct the Project.
The attached Joint Participation Agreement (WA) provides that the County will contribute $1,529,000 for construction
of the Project.
