Hannon City Clerk Subject: Mayor's International Council References: Agenda for February 13, 2014 Enclosures: List of Members The Mayor's International Council was created to (1) plan and implement the City's International Trade promotion policies for the purposes of stimulating commercial and residential development and expanding the City's tax base through the promotion of foreign trade and local investment in accordance with the bylaws adopted by the Council; (2) serve in an advisory capacity for the City of Miami Sister Cities Program to plan, implement, and oversee the City's international, professional, and technical educational and cultural exchanges, promotion and policies to create and stimulate friendly and meaningful relationships; and (3) coordinate protocol requirements for national and international events and dignitaries pursuant to the standard and practices adopted by the Council. Three (3) appointments are required at this time. • Vice Chair Keon Hardemon has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Marleine Bastien, incumbent, whose term expires on October 13, 2015. • Commissioner Frank Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Eduardo Padron, incumbent, whose term expires on February 11, 2014. • Commission At Large has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Al Maloof, incumbent, whose term expires on February 11, 2014. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership list of the council.
