RE: Letter of Support of GdO, L LC (the "Applicant") C'omprellensive Plan Amendment and
Zoning Amendment - November 6. 2013 Agenda
Dear City of Miami Commission and Members of the Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board ("PZAB-):
This letter shall serve as our fOrmal Wynwood Business Improvement District letter of support on behalf
of PZAI3.1 and I'ZAB.2, As property owners in the Wynwood neighborhood, we fully understand the
need and importance of this re -zoning. The additional density and height requested by the Applicant will
further economic development and provide more residential density to improve the balance of uses to
create a truly mixed use neighborhood in our District. This project will positively impact future
development in Wynwood, It will signal a new, positive partnership between the City and Wynwood.
Goldman Properties, the parent company of the Applicant, has been improving and revitalizing the
Wynwood area since 2005. Their prestigious projects include such gems as: the Wynwood Walls, Joey's
ltaliaii Cat', the Wynwood Kitchell and Bar, The Wynwood Building and The Wynwood House. The
Goldman selection of tenants in the arts, culture and food and beverage are among the real stars of
Wynwood, including but not limited to. Panther CotTee, the LAB Miami, Gallery Diet, and the Light Box
at Goldman Warehouse. "These tenants have made Wynwood what it is today and have helped transform
Wynwood into both a world class destination and an incredible asset to the City of Miami.
The requested rezoning will enable Goldman Properties to further 'advance Wynwood's urban renewal.
We believe the proposed land use and zoning change are compatible with the surrounding neighborhood.
We, the Board of Directors of the Wynwood Business Improvement District fully support this initiative.
Our stro.nrcti011rt forthis project is reflected in our unanimous motion of support at our meeting of the
1,Vytl'Wood Business Improvement Board or Directors on Wednesday, October 30. 2013,
Sincerely,
David Collins
