NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Section 18-85 of the City Code, a public hearing will be held by the City
Commission of the City of Miami, Florida, on January 9, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., in the City
Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the
purpose of waiving the requirements of obtaining competitive sealed bids for the
procurement of homeless shelter services, more particularly described as, up to, but not
exceeding, one hundred (100) mats for the nightly use of homeless individuals, along
with other associated and accompanying homeless shelter services for the homeless
individuals utilizing the mats, such as meals, showers, restrooms, clothing exchange,
etc., for a period of one (1). year, from Camillus House, located at 1603 NW 7th Ave,
Miami, FL 33136.
Inquiries from other potential sources of such a product which believe that they may be
able to satisfy the City's requirement for this item may contact Kenneth Robertson,
Director, City of Miami Procurement Department, at (305) 416-1910.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such
proposed contract award. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City
Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and
evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, .persons needing special
