FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION. Directo City Manage Page 1 of 1 Ll )3 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: Pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0538, adopted December 16, 2010 the Miami City Commission approved giving the City Manager authority to execute Purchase and Sale Agreements for the sale of 15 (fifteen) properties under the NSP and the Neighborhood Initiatives Program. Out of the fifteen (15) properties, seven (7) have been built and sold through the City of Miami, Department of Community and Economic Development First Time Homebuyer Program; three (3) properties are currently under construction and one (1) property was eliminated due to WASA issue. The remaining four (4) properties will be used for the construction of affordable homes. The contractor, Link Construction Group, Inc. is in need of additional funds to complete the affordable housing construction. The Administration recommends the allocation of NSP1 program income funds up to $300,000 for the construction of new affordable homes of the City owned sites located at 1477 Northwest 60th Street, 1336 Northwest 60th Street, 5852 Northwest 13th Avenue, and 1497 Northwest 60th Street a/k/a 6005 Northwest 15th Avenue, Miami, Florida, legally described in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated and the approval of Amendment #3 to the construction contract with Link Construction Group, Inc.
