Title: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), BY A
FOUR -FIFTHS (4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, AFTER A NOTICED PUBLIC HEARING
RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION
AND FINDINGS THAT IT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") TO
WAIVE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES PURSUANT TO
SECTION 18-85 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT"),
BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY AND 3700 GRAND AVENUE, LLC, C/O ANTHONY PARRISH, IN
SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR THE PURPOSE OF A POLICE SUBSTATION,
AND SETTING FORTH A BASE RENT OF $18,000.00 A YEAR PAYABLE AT A RATE OF $1,500.00
A MONTH TO BE PAID AT THE SOLE COST AND EXPENSE BY THE SARNOFF FOUNDATION
FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 3727 GRAND AVENUE, MIAMI,
FLORIDA, FOR A TERM OF TWO (2) YEARS COMMENCING ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
THE AGREEMENT.
