Hannon City Clerk Date: October 18, 2013 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: Agenda for November 21, 2013 Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Three (3) appointments are needed at this time: • Chair Marc David Sarnoff has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Captain David Lewis, incumbent, whose term expired on May 13, 2013. • Commissioner Frank Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Allyson Warren, incumbent, whose term expires on October 28, 2013. • Commission At Large has one (1) nomination for a seat currently: 1. Vacant, Alternate Member. (Marta Zayas resigned effective September 19, 2013)t For your convenience, we have included a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on November 21, 2013, Commission agenda.
