The Department of Community and Economic Development has requested the increase in subsidy due to an increase in the cost of materials, the high levels of need within the existing housing community and the difficulty in attracting contractors since the County and other municipalities have higher limits. The Administration recommends the Single Family Rehabilitation Program maximum subsidy amount to change from $35,000 to an amount not to exceed $50,000, as indicated in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated.
