Background Information: The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a term contract for Police Uniforms and Accessories. On July 22, 2013, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 367354. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On August 13, 2013, at the bid opening, one (1) bidder responded and the bid has been tabulated. Harrison Uniform Co., submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid, per bid specifications, and is therefore recommended for the award. The annual savings to the City, as a result of the bidder's best and final offer equal to $2,962.00 The average annual estimated spend amount will be about $400,000 to $600,000.
