Subject: Resolution establishing a new Special Revenue Project entitled " Child Day Care Food
Program."
Purpose of Item:
Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to accept a grant from the Florida Department of Health,
Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs in the amount of $80,000.00 and further appropriating, allocating
and establishing a new Special Revenue Project entitled "Child Day Care Food Program 2013-2014"
for the purpose of funding the operations of the year-round food service food program for preschool
aged children in our city parks.
Background Information:
The Department of Parks and Recreation has been awarded a renewal grant from the Florida
Department of Health, Bureau of Child Nutrition Programs in the amount of $80,000.00 to help fund
the preschool aged children's food program operating in our city parks. This Resolution appropriates
the grant and establishes a new Special Revenue Project for said purpose and further authorizes the
City Manager to execute all of the documents necessary to accept the awards. PATEO is to be
determined once the project is established.
