A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT
("LEASE"), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY, FOR THE USE AND OCCUPANCY OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1701 NORTHWEST 30 AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, BY THE CITY OF MIAMI'S
DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF THREE(3) YEARS, WITH
AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR AN ADDITIONAL FIVE (5) YEAR PERIOD, FOR AN
ANNUAL RENTAL FEE OF ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) PER YEAR, PLUS STATE OF
FLORIDA USE TAX (IF APPLICABLE), WITH TERMS AND CONDITIONS MORE
PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN THE LEASE.
WHEREAS, Miami -Dade County ("County") owns certain property located at 1701 Northwest
30 Avenue, Miami, Florida ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's ("City's") Department of Police currently uses and occupies the
Property; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County wish to enter into a Lease Agreement ("Lease") allowing
the City to occupy and use the Property;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1 } to execute a Lease, in substantially the attached
form, with the County, for the use and occupancy of the Property by the City's Department of Police,
for an initial term of three (3) years, with an option to extend for an additional five (5) year period, for
an annual rental fee of one dollar ($1.00) per year, plus State of Florida Use Tax (if applicable), with
terms and conditions more particularly set forth in the Lease.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
