Subject: Three Percent Pay Supplement Based on the Employees' Base Salary.

To authorize the City Manager to give all permanent full-time City of Miami employees who are
active as of September 30, 2013 a one-time three percent pay supplement based on the employees'
base salary for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2013.
Background Information:
The City Commission directed the administration to give all permanent full-time City employees as of
September 30, 2013 a one-time three percent pay supplement based on the employees' base salary in
order to compensate City employees for the years they have endured salary reductions or no wage
increases.
The three percent pay supplement will consist of a one-time payment based on the employees' base
salary excluding any other supplements or payment of overtime; and the said pay supplement shall not
be pensionable.
The City Commission directs the City Manager to collectively bargain with the employee
organizations known as AFSCME LOCAL 1907, AFSCME LOCAL 871, Fraternal Order of Police
(FOP) and International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) in order to effectuate this pay supplement,
or other mutually agreed upon compensation of equal value.
The three percent pay supplement is subject to ratification by the bargaining unit members of
AFSCME LOCAL 1907, AFSCME LOCAL 871, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and International
Association of Firefighters (IAFF) and the City Commission.
