A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ADDING CAPITAL PROJECTS APPROPRIATIONS TO THOSE LISTED IN
RESOLUTION NO. 13-0252, ADOPTED JUNE 27, 2013 AND REVISING CURRENT
APPROPRIATIONS AMONG APPROVED PROJECTS; FURTHER APPROPRIATING
FUNDING FOR THE ADDED PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of revenues from the Transit Half -Cent Surtax is being
established in the amount of $15,353 for "B-73102A Citywide Streets Milling & Resurfacing-CIP"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of revenues from Special Revenue Fund is being established
in the amount of $564,367 for various Capital Improvements projects; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of revenues from Impact Fees is being established in the
amount of $411,845.20 for "B-30541 D Citywide Park Equipment and Site Improvements"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of revenues from Contribution from General Fund is being
established in the amount of $1,566,200 for various Capital Improvements projects; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Miami -Dade County Metropolitan Planning
Organization is being established in the amount of $33,000 for "B-30645F Miami Regional Intermodal
Plan"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Miami -Dade County General Obligation Bond
is being established in the amount of $5,569,000 for "B-30011 Englewood Storm Sewer -Phase III";
and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Miami -Dade County is being established in
the amount of $7,854,395 for "B-30646 South Bayshore Drive Roadway and Drainage
Improvements"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a contribution from Miami -Dade County Public Schools is
being established in the amount of $1,012,691.21 for "B-72915A Police Headquarters Helipad and
Roof Replacement"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of revenues from Subrogation Auto Claims is being
established in the amount of $18,807.13 for "B-30666 Damaged Vehicle Replacement/Repairs"; and
WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Florida Department of Environmental
Protection Invasive Species Removal at Marine Stadium Marina is being established in the amount of
$28,975 for "B-30706 Miscellaneous Repairs-10% Set Aside"; and

WHEREAS, the new and revised appropriations constitute an update to the existing Multi -Year
Capital Plan approved pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0498, adopted December 13, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the previous appropriations remain authorized to continue previously approved
capital projects; and
WHEREAS, select previous appropriations are being reallocated within Capital Funds; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary in order to approve appropriations for new sources of
revenues for Fiscal Year 2013 and add to prior year appropriations in Capital Funds based on the
following format:

Fund 35000 Parks & Recreation

Fund 39900 Mass Transit
Fund 98004 ARRA Others - Memo Only;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The herein appropriations are hereby made for implementation of municipal capital
improvements of the City of Miami ("City"), for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2013. The
added appropriations are designated by reference to capital fund and fund balances. Descriptive
fund number and project balances, when included, are shown for informational purposes only.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature by the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, It shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
