Purpose of Item:
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG")
FUNDS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $225,450, AS SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A', ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FROM CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT 4 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE CITY
OF MIAMI — CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM ("CIP") FOR ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
LOCATED AT NORTHWEST 4TH STREET BETWEEN 27TH AVENUE AND NORTHWEST 31ST
AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
FOR SAID PURPOSE.

Background Information:
CIP is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all construction
related capital projects in the City of Miami, and for the financial management of all capital funds.
CIP has identified areas in District 4 around Northwest 4th Street between Northwest 27th Avenue
and Northwest 31stAvenue currently in need of improvements, including roadway milling and
resurfacing, along with associated drainage, sidewalk/ADA ramp, driveway, landscaping, new curbs
and pavement markings and signage upgrades.
The Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG funds in the total amount of $225,450, as
specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, to CIP for street improvements.
