COHEN, P.A., AS REIMBURSEMENT FOR LEGAL FEES FOR DEFENDING OFFICER ODNEY BELFORT IN THE MATTER OF GERALD LELIEVE VS. MANUEL OROSA, ETAL., UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT CASE NO. 10-23677-CIV-ALTONAGA; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT NO. 05002.301001.545000.0000.00000 WHEREAS, Attorney Ronald J. Cohen seeks payment of his firm's attorney's fees and costs resulting from his representation of Officer Odney Belfort in post -trial proceedings arising in the matter of Gerald Lelieve vs. Manuel Orosa, et al., United States District Court Case No. 10- 23677-Civ-Altonaga; and WHEREAS, the Office of the City Attorney has investigated the claim for attorney's fees and costs and recommends that said claim for attorney's fees and costs be settled for the sum of $25,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Payment of attorney's fees and costs, in the total amount of $25,000, to Ronald J. Cohen, P.A., as reimbursement for attorney's fees and costs for the defense of Officer Odney Belfort in the matter of Gerald Lelieve vs. Manuel Orosa, et al., United States District Court Case No. 10-CIV-Altonaga, with funds allocated from Account No. 05002.301001.545000.0000.00000, is authorized. Section 3.
