Subject: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with MAGGOLC, Inc. for the Northwest
l lth Street from 27th Avenue to 37th Avenue Area Roadway Improvements Project, B-30781.
Purpose of Item:
To accept the bid and authorize execution of a construction contract with MAGGOLC, Inc., the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 12-13-049 received July 18, 2013, for the Northwest l lth Street
from 27th Avenue to 37th Avenue Area Roadway Improvements Project, B-30781, in the amount of $188,875.63, for the
scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $18,887.56, for a total not to exceed award value
of $207,763.19. Funds in the amount of $207,763.19 are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. B-30781.
Background Information
The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 12-13-049 for construction services for the
Northwest llth Street from 27th Avenue to 37th Avenue Area Roadway Improvements Project, B-30781 (Project). Eight
(8) bids were received by the Office of the City Clerk on July 18, 2013. CIP has determined MAGGOLC, Inc.
(MAGGOLC) to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The City Manager requests authorization to execute a contract with MAGGOLC, in the amount of $188,875.63, for the
scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $18,887.56, for a total not to exceed award value
of $207,763.19.
