AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CDBG RESERVE ACCOUNT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$235,307 AND THE AMOUNT OF $218,047 FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI, DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CITYWIDE RESERVE FROM PROGRAM
INCOME, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $453,354; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS TO THE CITY OF
MIAMI, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT IN VARIOUS CITY
LOCATIONS; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENT(S), FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).

Background Information:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 13-0172, adopted May 9, 2013, the Miami City Commission approved the
transfer of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") close-out and de -obligated funds, in the
total amount of $948,780.64 and the allocation of said funds to the City of Miami Department of
Community and Economic Development CDBG reserve account for future Citywide CDBG eligible
activities.
Pursuant to Resolution No. , adopted July 11, 2013, the Miami City Commission approved
the allocation of Program Year 2013-2014 CDBG Economic Development funds in the amount of
$2,775,764, specifically, $218,047 to the Economic Development Citywide Reserve from Program
Income.
The Public Works department has identified sidewalks in various City locations that are in need of
repair.

The Administration recommends transfer from the City of Miami, Department of Community and
Economic Development CDBG Reserve Account funds in the amount of $235,307 and the amount of
$218,047 from the City of Miami, Department of Community and Economic Development Citywide
Reserve from Program Income, for a total amount of $453,354 and allocation of said funds to the City
of Miami, Public Works Department for sidewalk replacement in various City locations.
