A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY")
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT RESERVE ACCOUNT, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$235,307 AND IN THE AMOUNT OF $218,047, FROM THE CITY DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CITYWIDE RESERVE FROM
PROGRAM INCOME, FORATOTALAMOUNT OF $453,354; ALLOCATING SAID
FUNDS TO THE CITY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR SIDEWALK
REPLACEMENT IN VARIOUS CITY LOCATIONS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
TO THOSE LOCATIONS ON "COMPOSITE EXHIBITA", ATTACHED HERETO ;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13-0172, adopted May 9, 2013, the City Commission
approved the transfer of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") close-out and de -obligated
funds, in the total amount of $948,780.64 and the allocation of said funds to the City of Miami ("City")
Department of Community and Economic Development CDBG Reserve Account for future Citywide
CDBG eligible activities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13-0269, adopted July 11, 2013, the City Commission
approved the allocation of Program Year 2013-2014 CDBG Economic Development funds in the
amount of $2,775,764, specifically, the amount of $218,047 to the Economic Development Citywide
Reserve from Program Income; and
WHEREAS, the City's Department of Public Works has identified sidewalks in various City
locations that are in need of repair; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the transfer of funds from the City's Department
of Community and Economic Development CDBG Reserve Account in the amount of $235,307 and in
the amount of $218,047 from the City's Department of Community and Economic Development
Citywide Reserve from Program Income, for a total amount of $453,354 and the allocation of said
funds to the City's Department of Public Works for sidewalk replacement in various City locations
including but not limited to those locations on "Composite Exhibit A", attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference
and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of funds from the City's Department of Community and Economic

Development CDBG Reserve Account, in the amount of $235,307 and in the amount of $218,047,
from the City's Department of Community and Economic Development Citywide Reserve from
Program Income, for a total amount of $453,354 and the allocation of said funds to the City's
Department of Public Works for sidewalk replacement in various City locations including but not
limited to those locations on "Composite Exhibit A", attached hereto, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute all necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
