Background Information:
The City of Miami entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the FBI in March of 2005 for the
Miami Police Department's sworn members' participation on the South Florida Gang and Criminal
Organization Task Force.
The FBI has revised the MOU to include changes to the National Vehicle Lease Program (NVLP) policy
and added the new Department of Justice Less -Than -Lethal Devices Policy. The execution of the
MOU and the Cost Reimbursement Agreement will allow for additional reimbursement funding to the
City of Miami Police Department.
