A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENTAGENCY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$100,000, FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF A BRAUN SUPER CHIEF MODULE
TRUCK WITH A FREIGHTLINER CAB AND CHASSIS, TO BE STATIONED AT CITY
OF MIAMI FIRE STATION NO. 2; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID
AWARD.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("Omni CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within the
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment Plan lists providing for adequate public utilities and services
for the area's residents and businesses as a redevelopment goal; and
WHEREAS, the Omni CRA wishes to award a grant to the City of Miami ("City") in an amount not
to exceed $100,000; and
• WHEREAS, said grant will allow the Department of Fire -Rescue to procure a Braun Super Chief
Module Truck with a Freightliner Cab and Chassis to be stationed at City Fire Station No. 2; and
WHEREAS, this truck will enable the Department of Fire -Rescue to enhance the quality of service
to the community in the Omni CRA district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to accept a grant award from the Omni CRA, in an
amount not to exceed $100,000, for the procurement of a Braun Super Chief Module Truck with a
Freightliner Cab and Chassis, to be stationed at City Fire Station No. 2.
Section 3. The. City Manager is further authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents, in a
form acceptable to the City Attorney, in order to implement the acceptance of said award.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

{1 } The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
