No. 12500.191602.546000 for four years of warranty, from Taser International, Inc. Based upon
the attached, please take the necessary steps to verify that Taser International, Inc., located at
17800 N. 85th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85255, is the sole source provider of this purchase.
Our current X26 and M26 ECDs warranties have expired and part of this proposal includes the
trade-in of 600 old Taser® for 600 new X2 Taser® at a discounted rate.
The Taser® X2 provides the following highlights:
High Performance
• Dual lasers improve accuracy and help take the guesswork out of aiming
• Dual cartridges
• Improved power magazine provides for up to 500 firings
• IPX2 rates weatherproofing to better resist rain and humidity
• Self diagnostics tells you if the device is healthy or has a problem
More Effective
• Back up shot capability for multiple targets or miss recovery with x-connect technology'
• Warning Arc while loaded prevents conflict from escalating
• Current metering measures and accurately delivers the precise amount of current to
maximize both safety and effectiveness
• Delivers the precise amount of electric charge needed to cause optimal incapacitation
while enhancing safety.
Evidence.com Interface
The new Taser® X2 ECD will be utilized with the previously purchased Evidence.com cloud
system that will allow us sync the ECD into the system. This will provide better tracking of
officers assigned to the piece of equipment with serial numbers and to determine they conduct
operational and safety test along with data from its deployment.
The Taser® X2 ECD will be utilized by Miami Police Training Center (MPTC) cadre to train law
enforcement personnel and academy students. MPTC cadre has tested and evaluated these
devices for departmental use and in a training capacity. The cadre has concluded that its
functions and capabilities will allow the department to enhance law enforcement operations and
these tools are needed for our personnel.
