A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2013-2014, IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT
OF $744,857.70, IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY, TO THE AGENCIES
SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC
SERVICE ACTIVITIES BEGINNING APRIL 1, 2013; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT(S), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED
FORM(S), WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has
yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for Fiscal
Year 2013, and as such, the amount of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds being
__recommended is_a_projection;_and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Administration recommends the allocation for Program Year
2013-2014 CDBG funds, in the projected amount of $744,857.70, in the Public Service category, to
the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for Public Service activities
beginning April 1, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocation to such activities as specified in said attachment, may need
to be prorated once HUD confirms the final CDBG Public Service formula allocation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORI DA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of CDBG funds for Program Year 2013-2014, in the projected amount
of $744,857.70, in the Public Service category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached
and incorporated, for Public Service activities beginning April 1, 2013, is authorized.
Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation of
CDBG funds provided by HUD for the Program Year 2013-2014.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute Agreement(s), in substantially the
attached form(s), with said agencies, for said purpose.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF PROGRAM YEAR 2013-2014 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $105,993
FROM THE DISTRICT 2 CDBG PUBLIC SERVICE RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE
AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR
PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITYATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0467, adopted December 13, 2012, the City
Commission approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds for
Program Year 2013-2014, in the amount of $744,858 for public service activities; and the amount of
— $198046 remained -in -the -Public Service -Reserve -Account; and
WHEREAS, District 2 currently has the amount of $105,993 in said Public Service Reserve
Account, and at the December 13, 2012 City Commission meeting, District 2 requested that all
Program Year 2013-2014 CDBG Public Service allocations be placed in reserves for future use; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the allocation of Program Year 2013-2014
CDBG funds, in the amount of $105,993 from the District 2 Reserve Account, in the public service
category, to the agencies specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, for public service
activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
