S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ENTITLEMENT GRANT FUNDS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $18,794,119, AS STATED HEREIN, FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG"), HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS ("HOME"), HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS ("HOPWA"), AND THE EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT ("ESG"), FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2013- 2014; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENT(S) TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ACTUAL AMOUNTS OF GRANT FUNDS WHEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR SAID PURPOSE. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") provides the City of Miami ("City") entitlement grants annually under the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA, and ESG. Pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0465, adopted December 13, 2012, the Miami City Commission approved the acceptance of HUD entitlement grant funds, in the total projected amount of $20,732,282 for the following Programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA,and ESG for Program Year 2013- 2014. On May 28, 2013, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") released the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for FY2013, which included reductions, requiring a new public hearing. The Administration recommends accepting HUD Entitlement Grant Funds, in the total amount of $18,794,119 as stated herein, for the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA, and ESG for Fiscal Year 2013-2014.
