RE: Proposed Settlement for City Commission Meeting — June 27, 2013
Paul Walters vs. City of Miami
File ID No. 13-00669
The attached proposed Resolution seeks authorization for settlement of all claims
against the City of Miami by the above claimant in the amount of $75,000.
These workers' compensation actions were brought by Paul Walters, an employee
with the Department of Solid Waste, for injuries Ms. Walters sustained in the course and
scope of his employment with the City of Miami. This settlement also includes a general
release of all other claims or administrative proceedings/litigation.
The Office of the City Attorney has investigated and evaluated these claims and
dates of accident and has approved the recommendation of this settlement. Funds, in the
amount of $75,000 are available from Account No. 50001.301001.524000.0000.00000.
