Traffic and Drainage Improvements (Part 2) Project. Purpose of Item: To acceptthe bid and authorize execution of a construction contract with IVA Engineering Contractor, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No, 12-13-040 received May 30, 2013, for the District 3 - Roadway, Traffic and Drainage Improvements (Part 2) Project, in the amount of $343,301.15, for the scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $34,330.11, for a total not to exceed award value of $377,631,26. Funds are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-40300, B-40303, B-40310, B-40311 and B-40317. Background Information: The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) issued Invitation to Bid (1TB) No. 12-13-040 for construction services for the District 3 - Roadway, Traffic and Drainage Improvements (Part 2) Project (Project). Four (4) bids were received by the Office of the City Clerk on May 30, 2013. CIP has determined JVA Engineering Contractor, Inc. (JVA) to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The City Manager requests authorization to execute a contract with JVA, in the amount of $343,301.15, for the scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $34,330,11, for a total not'to exceed award value of $377,631.26. Funds in the amount of $377,631.26 are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-40300, B-40303, B-40310, B-40311 and B-40317. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue?
