HomeMy WebLinkAboutExhibit 1EXHIBIT "A" EMERGENCY UTILITIES PILOT PROGRAM SUMMARY Program Description: The program provides an emergency assistance to eligible residents of the City of Miami on a first come first serve basis to make past due utility payments as a result of financial difficulties of the family. Emergency assistance funds are meant to assist families in resolving an emergency, after the family applies their own resources towards the situation.. Source of Funding: CDBG Maximum Assistance: Assistance payment is capped at $300.00. Eligible Utilities: • Electricity • Gas • Other — Any other utility necessary for air-condition or heating of the residence Eligible Applicants • Must reside in the City of Miami Commission District 3 • Households with income less or equal to 50% of median income adjusted for family size. • Must be current in their other housing payments, such as rent or mortgage.
