The nature of this item is to establish a citywide term contract with various vendors for the provision of
Transportation Services by the lowest responsive and responsible bidder per each of two (2) categories, as
identified on the attached Tabulation Sheet, on an as needed, when needed basis, for an initial contractual
period of one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, allocating funds
from the various sources of funds of the user departments, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary
approval at the time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department identified a need for establishment of a citywide term contract for Transportation
Services. On March 22, 2013, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 362319; and,
pursuant to the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on Line. The solicitation period closed
April 18, 2013 and the five (5) responsive bids received were tabulated. Per the attached Tabulation Sheet, the
lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted per each of two (2) respective categories for the transportation
services are recommended for award. The total estimated annual Amount for this contract is approximately
$215,000.00.
