Attached please find the public hearing notice for a waiver of the requirements for competitive
sealed bidding procedures for the purchase EMTrak Mobile MC75A from Intermedix
EMSystems, the sole source provider of this equipment, for the Department of Fire -Rescue. This
item is scheduled for the City Commission meeting of d -20 [3 .

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on May 23,
2013, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive,
Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving the requirements for obtaining competitive sealed bids,
approving the purchase of Motorola MC75A Semi -Rugged Pocket Computers with EMTrak Mobile
Software, from Intermedix EMSystems, a Non -Local vendor, located at 135 South 84th Street,
Suite #150, Milwaukee, WI, 53214; for a total purchase amount not to exceed $252,335.00, with
funds allocated from UASI Grant Year 2010, Account # 18-180026 - 01.06.07 —1839 - Equipment
- 189000, for the Department of Fire -Rescue.
Inquiries from other potential sources of such a product who feel that they might be able to satisfy
the City's requirement for this item may contact Yusbel Gonzalez, City of Miami Department of
Purchasing, at (305) 416-1958.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such proposed
acquisition. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect
to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based
(F.S. 286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
