A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ALLOCATION OF CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT 4 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT LOAN
FUND PILOT PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT $50,000 TO BASCOMB
MEMORIAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION/WDNA 88.9 FM, FOR ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, SPECIFICALLY TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A
COMMERCIAL GENERATOR FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2921 CORAL
WAY, MIAMI,-FLORIDA; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 09-0298, adopted June 18, 2009, the City Commission
approved the Economic Development Loan Fund ("EDLF") Pilot Program Policies which provides
businesses with financial assistance to support the retention and creation of jobs for Low to Moderate
Income City of Miami ("City") residents; and
WHEREAS, Bascomb Memorial Broadcasting Foundation/WDNA 88.9 FM ("Bascomb Memorial")
is requesting additional funds to purchase and install a commercial generator so that the business can
remain operational through a power outage; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the allocation of City Department of Community
and Economic Development District 4 EDLF funds in the amount of $50,000 to Bascomb Memorial for
economic development activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of City Department of Community Development District 4 EDLF Pilot
Program funds, in the amount of $50,000 to Bascomb Memorial, for economic development activities,
specifically to purchase and install a commercial generator for the property located at 2921 Coral Way,
Miami, Florida, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a
form acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including •but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
