Subject: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding
Purpose of Item:
Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the
City of Miami and Miami -Dade County, for the purpose of the City of Miami to fund, not to exceed
$175,000.00, the construction / installation of a playground and youth athletic field for the Liberty
Square Public Housing Development.
Background Information:
The City of Miami, Miami Dade County, and the residents of Liberty Square, desire to create a safe
environment for the children in the Housing Development. The City of Miami agrees to fund the
installation of a playground and youth athletic field, in an amount not to exceed $175,000.00. This
Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding, and to
provide all other necessary documents, amendments, extensions and modifications in order to comply
with said Memorandum of Understanding.
