District Impacted: 2 Type: ® Resolution ❑ Ordinance ❑ Emergency Ordinance ❑ Other ❑ Discussion Item Law Department Matter ID No. Subject: Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) Grant Application for the Miami Marine Stadium In - Water Structural Assessment - Phase 1 Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to submit an application for grant funding .to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $157,900 for the Miami Marine Stadium In -Water Structural Assessment - Phase 1 Project ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for fifty percent (50%) of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $157,900, to be provided by Capital Improvement Project B- 30688; further authorizing the City Manager to execute any other necessary documents for the submission of said grant application, the execution of grant or deed agreements and amendments, and the acceptance of grant funds in the event of the award of the grant for fiscal year 2013-2014. Background Information: The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for $157,900 in grant funding from the Florida Inland Navigation District to assist in the restoration of the Miami Marine Stadium located on Virginia Key. This Phase I project will provide a structural assessment of in -the -water structures such as the pilings and seawall. The item includes language by Rule 66B-2, Florida Administrative Code, for grant submission to the Waterways Assistance Program. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue?
