D/B/A PUBLIC RISK INSURANCE AGENCY, A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF BROWN & BROWN, INC., ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACTUAL BASIS TO BE UTILIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF RISK MANAGEMENT, UNDER EXISTING CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CONTRACT NO. 12-13-302, EFFECTIVE THROUGH JANUARY 1, 2016, SUBJECT TO ANY EXTENSIONS OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS FROM THE USER DEPARTMENT AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The procurement of Insurance Brokerage Services, from Risk Management Associates, Inc. d/b/a Public Risk Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc., on an as -needed contractual basis to be utilized by the Department of Risk Management, under the existing City of West Palm Beach Contract No. 12-13-302, effective through January 31, 2016, subject to any extensions or replacement contracts by the City of West Palm Beach, is authorized, with funds allocated from the various sources of funds from the user department and agencies, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1 } If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
