Hannon City Clerk Date: February 20, 2013 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: Agenda for March 14, 2013 Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Two (2) appointments are needed at this time: • Vice Chair Wifredo (Willy) Gort has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Frank Pichel, incumbent, whose term expires on March 11, 2013. • Commissioner Francis Suarez has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Eduardo Moralejo, incumbent, whose term expires on March 11, 2013. For your convenience, we have included a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on March 14, 2013, Commission agenda.
