The Miami Waterfront Advisory Board was created to review and make recommendations to the
City Commission concerning waterfront issues.
Seven (7) appointments are required as of this time:
• Chair Marc David Sarnoff has one (1) nomination for a seat currently:
1. Vacant. (Resignation by Ashley Chase effective August 29, 2012)
• Vice Chair Wifredo "Willy" Gort has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by:
1. Guillermo Rodriguez, incumbent, whose term expires on March 8, 2013, has
exceeded the number of allowed absences (5 in 2012), and will require a 4/5ths
waiver of attendance.t
2. Stuart Sorg, incumbent, whose term expires on March 8, 2013, has served as a
member since November 17, 1998, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous
(5/5) vote of the Commission.
• Commissioner Frank Carollo has one (2) nominations for seats currently held by:
1. Wendy Kamilar, incumbent whose term expires on March 8, 2013, has served as a
member since June 13, 2002, and will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5)
vote of the Commission.
2. Manuel J. Prieguez, incumbent, whose term expires on March 8, 2013, has
exceeded the number of allowed absences (7 in 2012), and will require a 4/5ths
waiver of attendance)
• Commissioner Francis Suarez has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by:
1. Vacant. (Resignation by Denis Rod effective October 11, 2012)
2. Enid Lorenzo, incumbent, whose term expired on October 25, 2012.**
