A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A COST REIMBURSEMENT
AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH THE FEDERAL
BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE
DEPARTMENT'S CONTINUED PARTICIPATION ON THE SOUTH FLORIDA
VIOLENT/CRIME FUGITIVE TASK FORCE; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DESIGNATE THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO EXECUTE ANY OTHER
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF
SAID REIMBURSEMENT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU")
with the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") in October, 2008 for the City's Police Department's
sworn members' participation on the South Florida Violent/Fugitive Task Force; and
WHEREAS, in addition, we also entered into a Cost Reimbursement Agreement in October,
2008 for the acceptance of overtime reimbursement expenditures to the City; and
WHEREAS, the FBI has revised the MOU and the Cost Reimbursement Agreement to update
their records; and
WHEREAS, the execution of both revised documents will allow for overtime reimbursement
funding to the City's Police Department for task force participation; and
WHEREAS, no matching funds are required from the City;
NOW, -THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a Cost Reimbursement Agreement, in
substantially the attached form, with the FBI for the City's Police Department's continued participation
on the South Florida Violent/Crime Fugitive Task Force.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized{1} to designate the Chief of Police to
execute any other necessary documents to implement the acceptance of said reimbursement funds.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end often calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
