D/B/A AMIGOS FOR KIDS, TO THE CITY OF MIAMI, TO DEFRAY ANY RELATED COSTS FOR BABY DIAPER -CHANGING STATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID DONATION. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0048, adopted February 9, 2012, the City of Miami ("City") approved the installation of accommodations (changing stations) as expeditiously as possible for men and women to change their children's diaper in publicly accessible City bathroom facilities, with funds to be raised from the private sector; and WHEREAS, Amigos Together for Kids, Inc. d/b/a Amigos for Kids, working together with Commissioner Frank Carollo, wishes to donate funds in the amount of approximately $40,000 for said purpose; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. A donation in the amount of approximately $40,000, from Amigos Together for Kids, Inc. d/b/a Amigos for Kids, to the City, to defray any related costs for the diaper -changing stations, is accepted. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, in order to implement the acceptance of said donation. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 12-01439 (Version: 2) Printed On: 8/21/2017 File Number: 12-01439 Enactment Number: R-13-0022 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
