D/B/AAMIGOS FOR KIDS, TO THE CITY OF MIAMI, TO DEFRAY ANY RELATED COSTS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF BABY DIAPER -CHANGING STATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID DONATION. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0048, adopted February 9, 2012, the City of Miami ("City") approved the installation of accommodations (changing stations) as expeditiously as possible for men and women to change their children's diaper in publicly accessible City bathroom facilities, with funds to be raised additionally in the private sector; and WHEREAS, Amigos Together for Kids, Inc. d/b/a Amigos for Kids, working together with Commissioner Frank Carollo, wishes to donate funds in the amount of approximately $40,000 for said purpose; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. A donation in the amount of approximately $40,000, from Amigos Together for Kids, Inc. d/b/a Amigos for Kids, to the City, to defray any related costs for the installation and maintenance of diaper -changing stations, is accepted. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, in order to implement the acceptance of said donation. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
