A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF PROGRAM YEAR 2012-2013 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,330 FROM THE CITY OF
MIAMI ("CITY") DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT -DISTRICT 5 RESERVE ACCOUNT; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS
TO THE CITY'S DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT MICRO -ENTERPRISE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0060, adopted February 23, 2012, the Miami City
Commission approved the allocation of Program Year 2012-2013 Community Development Block
Grant ("CDBG") funds to the City of Miami's ("City's") Department of Community Development
Economic Development Reserves Account in the amount of $1,160,716; specifically to the District 5
Reserve Account in the amount of $41,458; and
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2012, a Request for Proposal ("RFP") for the Micro -Enterprise
Assistance Program was issued for a one (1) year period with the option to extend such contract for an
additional year, subject to the availability of funds and the businesses meeting their contractual
obligation; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the transfer of funds, in the amount of $31,330
from the Department of Community and Economic Development- District 5 Economic Development
Reserve Account to the City's Department of Community and Economic Development
Micro -Enterprise Assistance Program to provide assistance to successful micro -enterprises in the
RFP;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of Program 2012-2013 CDBG funds, in the amount of $31,330 from the
City Department of Community and Economic Development -District 5 Economic Development
Reserve Account to the City's Department of Community and Economic Development Micro -Enterprise
Assistance Program, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
