AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED
Background Information:
Due to the decrease of available Community Development Block Grant funds, all Public Service
agencies' allocations have been reduced by approximately 34 percent.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0290, adopted July 26, 2012, the Miami City Commission approved
the allocation of Poverty Initiatives Program Funds in the amount of $190,500.
The City Commission wishes to allocate funding to cover public service program shortfalls for fiscal
year 2012-2013 from the Poverty Initiatives Program Fund, Account No. 14010.910101.882000
(these funds were transferred from the General Fund NDA Account No. 00001.980000.891000).
The City Commission recommends the allocation of funds from the Poverty Initiatives, totaling
$190,500, in the amounts and to the agencies as specified in Attachment "A", attached and
incorporated.
